Pleasantly Persistent: 5 Rules for Effectively Following Up

Kirstin on Fullback and Friends:  I love the term ‘pleasantly persistent’  some great advice here, and backs up the advice I give to my students.  No news does not necessarily mean you have been unsuccessful.  Applying for jobs can be an emotional rollercoaster, so make the rollercoaster a gentler ride by being pro-active and being more hands on with managing your application once you have submitted them.  If there is a deadline date for applications to be submitted give 7-14 working days following on from the deadline date and if you have not heard back then start being ‘pleasantly persistent’.  http://www.themuse.com/advice/pleasantly-persistent-5-rules-for-effectively-following-up
